KRONIK was formed in may 2009. The band made its debut at the NSF conference 2009 which was held at Mopungchuket, Mokokchung.KRONIK won the Mokokchung roadshow beat contest 2009 where meren bagged the title of best vocalist and Wati took the best guitarist title.

Meren has a few titles in his bag. He was declared the best vocalist both in the solo and band category in the Music Safari, Mokokchung 2008.the band takes it influence from bands like Pantera, Steve Vai, Megadeth, Slaughter and Loudness.
