Tia Jamir Speaks
I
don’t want to look back
on life and say I didn’t fulfill my dreams because it
was too hard.
“I’ll
be Your Friend” is my dream come true
project, dedicated to my beloved wife and son.
The album is a mixture of different types of music. Some of the
songs are inspired from Burmese tunes. (They are awesome)
I
realized that since my wife and I had married and had a son, I’d not
written something that addresses our present relationship. There is
so much to say, there still is and there will be. “I’ll be
Your Friend” is me, poured out in 4mts length. Alem Alias’s
beautiful touch is all over the song.
“Don’t want to say Goodbye”
was written in 2000 during my college days, when I was asked to sing
for one of my professor’s fare well, who was leaving for his
Doctoral studies to US. I never thought recording it until my
friends encouraged me to consider. It has become their favorite
“Say it now”.
This track always made me smile. I had a blast doing it. Some lines
of the lyrics were done inside the studio.
The song “Run into my Arms” is always close to my
heart. Songs can mean so many different things to different people.
I wrote it from a very personal place. And I hope it affects people
in any way.
I
really want to use the platform God has given me to point people the
right way. I feel that songs are a great way to make
connection, because you
purposefully use music to intrigue people and
draw them in, to think new thoughts. And
I
believe music has the power. |
